Representatives of the National Participation Council, the NGO Council, the Anticorruption Alliance and the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections this mooning have shared to lawmakers leaflets with the request to honor their overdue commitments.
Interviewed by IPN, National Participation Council chairman Sergiu Ostaf said that only a part of the bills concerning the undertaken commitments were adopted in the last sittings of Parliament.
The agenda of the July 18 sitting includes the package of anti-tobacco laws. The representatives of the NGOs voiced hope that the bill to strengthen the financial durability of civil society, known as the 2% Law, will also be included in the agenda.
Civil society is staging protests within the one-week campaign “Countdown to fulfillment of the Government’s promises”.
