The leaders of the parliamentary parties expressed different opinions on the survey about political parties, which was conducted by the Marketing and Polling Institute IMAS-INC and presented recently.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat, of the PLDM, and Marian Lupu, of the PDM, do not pay great attention to the figures. The Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu, of the PL, said he is glad about the results, while the AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu recommended the authors of the poll to better purchase masks against flu for the population rather than wasting money on misleading surveys. The leaders of the PCRM refused to comment on the poll, saying they want to familiarize themselves with the context in which the survey was carried out first, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The survey says that if early parliamentary elections were held, the PCRM would poll 29.3% of the vote, the PD – 12.7%, the PLDM – 10.2%, the PL – 9.8%, while the AMN – 2.3%. The undecided voters make up 21.6%, while 10.1% of the respondents said they would not go to the polls.
“This poll is similar to Krylov's fables (Ivan Krylov, Russian fabulist – e.n.),” said Communist MP Vadim Misin, while his faction colleague Vladimir Turcan said the results of a poll depend on the way in which the questions were formulated, adding that this poll is not accidental.
Marian Lupu said the poll can help measure the average temperature and identify the trend. “However, we should not pay much attention to surveys, but concentrate on our jobs,” he said.
The Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat said the work of his party cannot be affected by surveys, while the leader of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said that the figures are similar to the July election results, but they show how the parties should work in continuation.
The AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu said he has never paid attention to those who misinform the people or influence the public opinion in favor of a party or another. “Even if Urecheanu does not go out of the office, the Parliament or the party's head office to gape at something, the AMN will poll at least 10% in the coming elections,” he said.
The poll also says that the Alliance for European Integration would obtain at most five more seats in the Parliament, while the Communists' seats would decrease slightly in number.
The IMAS poll covered a sample of 1,070 persons from more than 70 settlements. It was carried out during October 11-29. The margin of error is 3%.
