Leanca Government given vote of confidence

Parliament gave a vote of confidence to the Leanca Government. 58 MPs of the 101 supported the government program and team. Five MPs voted against, while four abstained. Though they attended the sitting, the Communist MPs didn’t go to the microphone to vote nominally, which is against the regulations, IPN reports.

The Leanca Government was invested on May 30, close to 23.00. The members of the group of Socialists led by Igor Dodon and unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea voted against. Four MPs of Ghimpu’s group abstained.

When giving a speech, the leader of the Liberal reformers Ion Hadarca proposed Tatiana Potang for the post of Deputy Prime Minister for social problems, and the proposal was accepted. Until now, Tatiana Potang was deputy minister of education.

Under the government program presented, the Leanca Government aims to bring the European integration process to a point of irreversibility. It will also concentrate all its efforts and resources to obtain the signing and coming into force of the Association Agreement with the European Union, the Visa Liberalization Agreement and the Agreement on the Creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.

The prevention and combating of corruption by increasing transparency and access to information, modernization of the public administration and implementation of electronic governance in the relations between the state and the people, ensuring of transparency in the activity of the political parties, promotion of the reformation of the law enforcement bodies and many other measures stipulated in the document are designed to contribute to achieving the fundamental objective of the government program.
