Leonid Bujor: Only small group of AMN members from Balti plan to join PDM

Only a small group of the Moldovan Noastra Alliance (AMN) members from Balti intend to join the Democratic Party (PDM). Most of the members of the Balti local organization have not defected and will take part in the merger with the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM), AMN vice president Leonid Bujor has told Info-Prim Neo. “They are trying to manipulate public opinion. This game is directed by persons from Chisinau. After the April 9 congress of the party, we will say more. It should be noted that the statement made by the group from Balti is not true as the local organization has not yet come together to take a decision,” said Leonid Bujor. According to him, 2/3 of the about 500 members of the AMN's Balti local organization said they will not leave the party. The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova and the Moldovan Noastra Alliance signed the merger agreement on March 22. It is to be confirmed by decisions of the congresses of the two parties. The PLDM's congress will take place on April 10.
