The parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) initiates a no-confidence motion against the Filip Government. According to the PLDM, the motion is submitted amid the involvement, covering and lack of action in relation to the trafficking in anabolic steroids through Moldova’s Post Office, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.

MP Grigore Cobzac, chairman of the parliamentary commission of inquiry for examining the activity of Moldova’s Post Office, called on the members of the Communist, Liberal and Socialist parliamentary groups to subscribe to the motion.

“Moldova cannot have a government that is involved in transfrontier schemes and that is trying to hide a series of serious crimes. I understand that all these actions bother, the persecutions and intimidations continue, but I think that the country and the law are above everything. The government’s attempt to hush this scheme up affects state security and the country’s image at international level and should not be neglected. It’s clear that representatives of the government, from different levels, are involved in the implementation of this scheme,” stated Grigore Cobzac.

The authors of the motion accuse the executive of contributing to the viability of the scheme to export illegal substances applied by employees of Moldova’s Post Office.

To register the no-confidence motion, the Lib-Dems need 34 signatures of MP.
