The members of the Liberal Party from Soroca and Stefan Voda districts are for the organization of the party’s Extraordinary Congress where to discuss the reformation of the PL, says a communiqué of the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party.

The participants in the meeting supported the idea of reforming the party and of holding the congress so as to discuss the reorganization and modernization of the PL and its adjustment to the European democratic norms for organizing and running political parties, it is said in the communiqué, quoted by IPN.

The extended meeting of the Liberal Party’s Soroca Branch Council was attended by 55 representatives of village and town organizations of Soroca district. They pleaded for maintaining the Liberal Party in power within a pro-European government.

The meeting in Stefan Voda involved 75 persons representing 22 local organizations. Stefan Voda Council member Valeriu Berila said that all the problems in the PL derived from the lack of communication.

The MPs of the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party are gathering proceedings for organizing the congress. They need 17 proceedings for the purpose.
