Lilian Carabeț will be in charge of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) until the Government appoints an interim or permanent IGP head. Interior Minister Ana Revenco today introduced Carabeț to the IGP staff.
Minister Revenco stated she chose Lilian Carabeț for his and professionalism and vast experience in the police, and emphasized that the safety of citizens and a high level of public order should remain the top priorities of the Moldovan Police.
Lilian Carabeț held various executive positions within the Ministry of the Interior, including Director for Economic Fraud Investigations and deputy head of the Special Operations Force “Fulger”.
Carabeț replaces Sergiu Paiu, who was relieved of duty at the Government’s meeting last week.
