The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service received a donation of ten firefighting vehicles from Lithuania as a result of cooperation between the Foreign Affairs Ministries of the two states, IPN reports.
According to the Service’s press office, the firefighting vehicles will be brought to Moldova on July 20 by 12 Moldovan firemen, who benefitted from training in the field. The vehicles will be distributed to a number of subdivisions of the country.
An assistance agreement on the prevention and response to emergencies will be signed within the cooperation between the Governments of Moldova and Lithuania. By this accord, the signatories will support each other and will offer mutual assistance in preventing and liquidating emergencies. The document will be signed in Chisinau on July 28 within the visit of the Lithuanian delegation to Moldova.
