Liviu Dubalari ranks 76th at European Youth Olympic Festival

Moldovan skier Liviu Dubalari Monday competed in the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival that is taking place in Romania’s Brasov. The 17-year-old athlete ranked 76th out of 86 competitors in the 10 km freestyle skiing, Info-Prim Neo reports. The event was won by Russia’s Alexei Chervotkin. Moldovan sportsman Nicolae Gaiduc will compete in biathlon. Moldova has taken part in the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival for the second time. The first time it competed in Liberec, the Czech Republic, in 2011. Until now, the National Olympic Committee of Moldova organized the participation of the youth team in 10 summer competitions, where they won three gold medals, three silver medals, and seven bronzes.
