If the upcoming parliamentary elections are not free and fair, the Party “Action and Solidarity” will mount protests, the party’s leader Maia Sandu stated in the program “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel. According to her, if the elections are not free, they will not be recognized in the country and abroad, IPN reports.
At the same time, Maia Sandu noted that if the parliamentary elections are free and fair, the bloc formed by the PAS together with the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” will definitely win them.
The politician said that even in the current conditions, when the elections will be held based on the new electoral system, the bloc she represents can also score a victory. “This will happen because we will be able to mobilize the people and the people will work as in the previous election campaign,” stated Maia Sandu.
According to her, voices inside national parties and the international community say the rules are not equal for all those who will run, while the boycotting of the parliamentary elections would mean that the Democratic Party led by Vladimir Plahotniuc would remain in power and would not have to falsify the elections. “No, we will work, will take an active part and will see what’s happening,” stated Maia Sandu.
