The police started a criminal case against two men who are suspected of beating and kidnapping a person, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, in the afternoon of September 17 the Dispatcher’s Office of the Chisinau Police Division was informed by phone that two vehicles blocked the way of a BMV on the road to Tohatin village. The persons who got off the first two vehicles started to beat the driver of the BMW, forced him into one of the cars and went away.
The police identified the two vehicles and two suspected culprits – two young men aged 27 and, respectively, 29 living in Chisinau and in Soroca district. The victim is a 30-year-old man from Chisinau municipality. He was rushed to the hospital as he needed medical care, while the suspects were escorted to the Ciocana Police Inspectorate for interrogation. The suspects had three firearms on them.
The two suspects face three to seven years in jail for hooliganism. The incident is investigated by the Ciocana Police Inspectorate.
