A 68-year-old man died in a fire in an apartment situated on Hristo Botev St in Chisinau. Rescuers found the carbonized body in a burning room, IPN reports.
The call to the 112 Service was made at 10:14am. According to firefighters, the flames engulfed a 10 m2 room of an apartment located on the second floor.
The cause of fire is to be found out. No one else was hurt.
The eight fires that occurred in Moldova so far this year claimed two lives.
