A 54-year-old man died after he crashed his car into a ZIL truck on a road in Cobusca Nouă village of Anenii Noi district.
Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate press officer Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that the driver of the car was coming from a secondary road and didn’t give way to the truck that was travelling on the main road. As a result of the impact, the car driver received serious injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
There were four passengers in the car – three men aged between 19 and 21 and a 17-year-old teen - all from Botnărești village of the same district. Three of the passengers were under the influence of alcohol. A medical-legal examination is to be performed to determine if the driver was inebriated.
The driver of the ZIL truck aged 53 wasn’t hurt. Legal action was taken in this case.
