A man from Soroca was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in jail for committing a deliberate murder and a theft and for intentionally destroying property, IPN reports.
The prosecutors in Soroca established that the culprit for several times broke into a shop in Tepilova village, from where he stole cigarettes to the valley of over 7,000 lei in January – April 2013. The last time he set the shop on fire, causing damage of 200,000 lei to the owner.
The man was also found guilty of committing a deliberate murder. The prosecutors established that last April he stabbed to death a villager with whom he drank alcoholic beverages. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
