A 37-year-old man was sentenced to six years in semi-closed prison for causing bodily harm with particular cruelty to a woman. The defendant partially admitted his guilt, but avoided going to court, being wanted, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man, being drunk at his home located in a village in Rascani district, where his sister and a friend of her were present, hit the latter for several times with an electric kettle. The victim lost consciousness.
After that, he grabbed the victim by the hair and pulled her forcibly so that he plucked her hair together with skin in the parietal region of his head.
The sentence is not final. It can be challenged in the Balti Court of Appeals within 15 days.
