A man suffered hand burns when the apartment in which he lives at 84 Alba Iulia St in Chisinau caught fire. The man was given first aid and he refused hospitalization, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the apartment is situated on the eighth floor. Four firefighting teams struggled to contain the fire. This was fully extinguished close to 9am.
The fire destroyed a room of the apartment. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of fire.
