Man killed in car accident in Vatra town

A 48-year-old man lost his life in a road accident that happened in Vatra town of the municipality of Chisinau on May 8. Two drivers received serious injuries when their cars collided. They were taken to the hospital, but one of them died shortly afterward, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Traffic Police Division's PR Service. A car that went out of control struck three pedestrians on the Drochia-Taregrad road. A woman aged 28 and two children aged 9 and 10 were rushed to the hospital in Drochia with serious injuries. Another car overturned on the Drochia – Soroca road. The 26-year-old driver was unhurt, but a woman aged 67 and a girl aged 13 sustained injured and were taken to the hospital. A driver, 28, got his leg fractured when his car crashed into a tree on Mircesti St in Chisinau. One person was killed and 42 injured in the 24 accidents that occurred on Moldova's roads on May 8 and 9.
