Man stabbed in broad daylight

A man, 46, was stabbed Wednesday in broad daylight in Chisinau's Botanica district, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Dr. Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service, the man was walking along Independence Boulevard at around 1:30PM when he heard obscenities being shouted at him by some strangers. A struggle followed, during which the assaulters used a knife to stab the man in the abdomen. Arriving at the scene, an ambulance crew found the victim bleeding heavily from a wound which, as it proved later, pierced his intestines. Now the victim is recovering in hospital. On Thursday morning a crew responded to an emergency call, involving a male pedestrian who had been struck by a van on a local road at 4:30AM. But the collision was too strong, leaving the crew helpless.
