Man stabs his mother to death with kitchen knife

Angry that his mother did not give him money, a 40-year-old man from Topal village of Cimislia district stabbed her with a kitchen knife for several times. According to the Ministry of the Interior, in the evening of May 25 a woman from the village informed the police that the man walked through the village under the influence of alcohol and that his clothes were stained with blood. The police found the man in the yard of his mother’s house. He was staying near his mother who was still alive. She had deep stab wounds in the neck and on the face. The 79-year-old woman died on the way to the hospital. The man admitted his guilt. He faces up to 15 years in jail for murder. The police established that the man suffered from chronic alcoholism.
