Man struck by minibus dies in hospital

A 59-year-old man died Thursday in hospital one day after he was hit by a minibus in Hancesti town when he was riding a bicycle. A woman of the same age died the same day shortly after she was struck by a motorcycle on Hancesti St in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Traffic Police Division, a 34-year-old man was seriously injured in a road accident on Chisinau’s Grenoble St. He was hit by a car driven by a woman of 62. Doctors say the man suffered fractures of the pelvic bones, backbone and femur. Two persons were killed and three hurt in five traffic accidents that happened in Moldova yesterday and last night. Twenty-one road accidents caused no victims. The traffic police fined 67 drivers traveling unbuckled, 74 speeding and 14 inebriated drivers.
