A man aged 60 suffered serious injuries when he fell from a tree. He was admitted to the intensive care section with an open head injury, cerebral contusion, a skull base fracture and rib fractures, IPN reports.
According to the National Emergency Medicine Center, the man, who worked as a guard at a company based in Chisinau’s Botanica district, climbed a tree to pick up fruits and fell accidentally from a height of about 3 meters.
Another case of falling happened in Cricova town. A child aged five went to see his mother at her workplace. He went up the stairs unnoticed and fell from the second floor of the building with the head downwards. He suffered a head injury and a closed fracture of the right forearm. He was taken to the Chisinau Clinical Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” for additional examinations and specialized treatment.
