A hunter was wounded in a field near Cioc-Maidan village of Comrat district during quail hunting last week. The Comrat Prosecutor’s Office ordered an investigation into this incident, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the victim aged 54 was taken to the district hospital, where he received first aid. He was then transferred to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital and his state is now stable.
The preliminary inquiries showed that the hunting was authorized and the hunters included representatives of the Hunters Association and businessmen from Gagauzia and Chisinau municipality.
The results of the investigations carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office and the local police will be made public periodically.
