Marian Lupu offers condolences to his Ukrainian counterpart

Moldova’s Acting President Marian Lupu sent a message of condolence to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich over the accident that happened last night in a coal mine in Lugansk region, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the presidential press service. “In this difficult period for the Ukrainian people, I express my sincere condolences and give the condolences of the Moldovan people. Please send our feelings of profound compassion and solidarity over the tragedy to the relatives and close persons of those who disappeared,” reads the message. Sixteen miners were killed and ten went missing after an explosion rocked a mine in Lugansk region in Eastern Ukraine on the night of July 29, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergencies.
