The Democratic Party’s head Marian Lupu said there are two possible ways in Moldova following the PLDM’s decision to withdraw from government: to form a majority coalition in Parliament or to witness chaos and destabilization. The Democrats’ leader developed the issue in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
“The PLDM chose the way of chaos and destabilization. If a majority parliamentary coalition is not formed, the consequences for the people will be bad. If those from the PLDM wait to be begged, we will not play their game. We will not allow the Republic of Moldova to follow the path of chaos. If their decision is a serious one, we will anyway form a parliamentary coalition and a government,” said the leader of the PDM.
Marian Lupu considers the PLDM’s decision to move to the opposition was imposed by several heavyweights of the party. “There are enough wise people in the PLDM. I discussed with MPs of the PLDM and with members of this party who are outside Parliament. I realized that the decision was an imposed one,” he stated.
Marian Lupu rejected the accusations that the PDM is responsible for the rupture inside the AEI-3. “We had to vote for the no-confidence motion. The behavior of former Premier Strelet was incompatible with the post he held. If those from the PLDM know that the disappearance of the billion caused such a crisis, how can they withdraw and wash their hands now that we need a government to overcome the crisis?” he asked.
