Massive connections to free metropolitan Wi-Fi network of StarNet at population’s request

More than 40 free connections to the metropolitan Wi-Fi network of StarNet have been performed during two weeks of the launch, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting Irina Ghelbur, of the company’s Public Relations Service. According to the quoted source, the Wi-Fi network of StarNet has currently the largest coverage and most stable Internet speed and is the first project of the kind that is built and extended based on the people’s requests. Over two weeks of the presentation of the project, the company received more than 60 applications. Forty of the indicated locations have been already connected. Among them are the streets Hancesti, Grenoble, Valea Crucii, Ion Neculce, Grigore Alexandrescu, and Colina Pushkin. The metropolitan Wi-Fi network extends on a length of over 90 km and covers the main parks, boulevards and streets of Chisinau, 45 schools and four universities. The Chisinau residents can ask connecting the areas to the Wi-Fi network by writing messages on the company’s profiles on Facebook and Twitter or by sending a message to the email address wifi[@]starnet.md.
