The mayor of Musteata village of Falesti distrust was arrested by anticorruption officers on suspicion of passive corruption, IPN reports.
A person informed the National Anticorruption Center that the mayor asked for €200 from him for issuing a certificate showing that he lives in the mentioned village.
The mayor will be held at the Center’s North Local General Division for 72 hours. He faces up to 10 years in jail.
