Mayor general Ion Ceban on October 29 demanded that he head of Botanica district Boris Prepeliță should resign because he inefficiently manages the affairs in the district. The mayor made the announcement during a surprise visit to Botanica, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, during the last inspection to Botanica, there were identified cleanup deviations and the slow pace of implementing investment projects. “The largest number of infrastructure and territorial development projects should be launched here because this is the biggest district of the municipality of Chisinau. In fact, in comparison with other districts, there are few projects here. Moreover, these are implemented with deviations and by not meeting the deadlines,” stated Ion Ceban.
Boris Prepeliță was unavailable for comment.
The post will be held on an interim basis by Diana Guba, adviser in the mayor general’s staff.
