The vehicles with protective medical equipment and essential medicines for treating COVID-19 provided by Romania will not arrive in Chisinau today as it was initially panned. Prime Minister Ion Chicu said he was informed about this by the Romanian authorities, IPN reports.

“We will be glad to see our Romanian brothers in Chisinau immediately after they finalize all the internal preparation procedures. On the occasion of the provision of this valuable support by the Romanian people, I invited Mister Ludovic Orban, the Prime Minister of Romania, to visit our country so that we could express our enormous appreciation and gratitude to him here, in Chisinau,” Premier Chicu posted on Facebook.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu was to meet today the convoy with humanitarian aid offered by Romania to Moldova. The 20 trucks were to arrive at the Albița-Leuşeni customs post in the afternoon.

Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau said the planned events were put off for tomorrow for objective reasons. The new program will be announced later.
