The migrants, including the Moldovan ones, who will flout the Russian legislation will not be allowed to enter Russia for a long period. This is stipulated in an initiative put forward by the Federal Migration Service, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Russian publication “Nezavsimaya gazeta”.
The Federal Migration Service aims to make the migrants who regularly break the laws of Russia more responsible. “They will have to stay a longer period at home. In Russia, they must live and work according to the existing rules,” the Service’s head Konstantin Romodanovskii said in a news conference.
Earlier, he stated that the organization of illegal migration in Russia will be treated severely. He also referred to the employers that illegally use the migrants’ workforce.
A large part of the Moldovans migrate to Russia to do seasonal work, especially in the construction sector. About 40% of the remittances sent by the Moldovans working abroad come from Russia.
The Russians identified cases when Moldovans broke their national laws. Recently, a Moldovan man bribed a worker of the Domodedovo Airport in Moscow so that he did not consciously check another seven persons.
