“There is nothing new under the sun. I hope that we will leave the statements aside and will start work from tomorrow,” the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu said, referring to the public address made by Prime Minister Vlad Filat. He stated the problems that appear in the Alliance for European Integration should be discussed in Parliament, the Government and the Presidential Office, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The Liberal Party has never refused to vote for certain bills. On the contrary, we proposed bills that were rejected. But we did not make statements and cause scandal. There is a saying: “Going with the scythe does not mean cutting grass,” said Mihai Ghimpu.
According to him, the main reforms that should be implemented concern the legal system, decentralization of power and liberalization of economy. “I think nobody can accuse the Liberal Party of not backing the reforms. We want to go on vacation and return persons with state thinking, responsible for the fate of our children,” said Mihai Ghimpu.
Commenting on the Premier’s assertion that not ‘communization’ but ‘mafiotization’ is the greatest danger threatening Moldova, Mihai Ghimpu said he considers that ‘communization’ means ‘mafiotization’. “The Communist mafia is the largest mafia that ever existed,” he stated.
Mihai Ghimpu also said that none of the proposals mentioned by Vlad Filat is new and those proposals should be only implemented by consensus.
