The chairman of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu voted for freedom, justice and for the people’s welfare. The Liberal leader went to the polling place together with his wife Dina Ghimpu. “I voted for the wellbeing of my people, for a better life for everyone - children, parents and grandparents. I voted for what Moldova needs now,” he stated, quoted by IPN.
Mihai Ghimpu also said that everything must change after the elections and the most important thing is for the people not to work for those who govern, but for the government to work for the people. Moldova must be as far as possible from its enemies and as close as possible to its friends.
Dina Ghimpu said that she voted for the nation’s future. “I have high expectations. I hope the people can see where there is manipulation and will thus vote as they consider right because they will live the future,” he stated.
