The parliamentary elections that will take place this year will not be free, fair and democratic. The process is already incorrect, the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu stated in the program “Politics” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.
“On the voting day, the elections could be free and fair, but before this day they will be not. They already started not to be free and fair,” said Mihai Ghimpu. According to him, the constituencies were gerrymandered so as to benefit particular political forces.
The Liberal leader said there are possibilities of removing the Dodon-Plahotniuc duo and he has a plan to this effect. “This depends on how we all concentrate and the people should not sell themselves for oil and pasta. A vote could cost even 1,000 lei. This campaign will be very expensive,” stated Mihai Ghimpu.
He also said it is possible for the unionist forces to run in the upcoming legislative elections as one bloc.
