The chairman of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said a ruling alliance with the participation of the Liberals will not be formed and there are no prospects in this respect. He made such a statement in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.
The leader of the PL said that after he was visited by Iurie Leanca and Vlad Plahotniuc before the first attempt to vote in the Government, nobody from the PLDM or the PDM invited them to resume the negotiations. He considers that the two parties actually never wanted the Liberals to take part in governance. “I’m sure that if we tomorrow say that we are ready to sign an agreement on the formation of a ruling alliance without claiming public posts, we will anyway not be accepted,” stated Ghimpu.
The Liberal leader noted the PL wasn’t wanted in the ruling alliance for the reason that it interfered with the interests of representatives of the PDM and PLDM. “These are parties without ideology and their leaders pursue only tangible interests. The more, the better. We earlier asked shedding light in the case of the theft at Banca de Economi. But everyone keeps silent and it would be inconvenient for them for the Liberals to be in power as we will possess instruments and will demand clarifying this case. This is another reason for which they didn’t want us to form part of the alliance,” said Ghimpu.
As to Iurie Leanca, Mihai Ghimpu said his fate had been decided even before the November 30, 2014 elections. “Iurie Leanca is a yet floating politician. I prevented him that Vlad Filat does not want him as Prime Minister and he will not be voted in again and should better withdraw his candidacy, but he had the nativity to believe that he would be voted,” stated the Liberal leader.
