Effort is made to implement a strategy worked out earlier – to promote the candidate for premiership of a party without the consent of the other parties, the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu said after the December 21 consultations with the head of state, IPN reports.
“What we suspected became true. Some didn’t want to contribute to forming a parliamentary majority that will vote in a candidate of this majority because they wanted the head of state to nominate their own candidate. This is a strategy that will be put into practice today or tomorrow,” stated Mihai Ghimpu, noting he refers to the representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party.
The Liberals’ leader added that despite all the disagreements existing between the PLDM, PDM and PL, they must do what they promised to the people – to do reforms, to secure the country’s European course, to restore confidence in parties, etc.
