The State Weather Service is forecasting temperatures above average for “new-style” Christmas on December 25. Meteorologist Natalia Gherasim has told IPN that on Monday the skies will be clear and temperatures will range +7 – +9 degrees Celsius.
During the next seven days, both lows and highs will be rising. “Whereas lows tonight will be 0 – -5 degrees Celsius, and highs tomorrow will be between -1 – +4, by Sunday these temperatures will be well above 0. Lows will be around 0 – +5 degrees Celsius, and highs will be between +4 and +9 degrees Celsius”, said Natalia Gherasim.
On Saturday, December 23, light snow is expected in the northern part of the country, and on Sunday there will be showers in the north and in the central part.
The median temperatures for this time of the year are around -1 – +1 degrees Celsius.
