Milsami and Zimbru fail to deliver goals in derby

Milsami Orhei missed the chance to move up to third place in the National Division table. Both teams finished the match in 10 men, as Milsami’s Valerian Garla and Zimbru’s Eugen Slivca were sent off. The draw means that both teams retain their positions in the table. Dacia Chisinau remain second, but reduced the gap to Sheriff to 5 points after defeating bottom side FC Speranta 1-0 thanks to a goal from Brazilian Cairo de Andrade. Rapid Ghidighici ended their defeat streak with a 1-0 win on the pitch of Iskra-Stal Rabnita. Oleg Cionin scored on 74 minutes and the three points went to Rapid. The other games of the matchday will be played on Saturday, November 24, when Sheriff take on Olimpia, Academia host Nistru and FC Costuleni play FC Tiraspol. Sheriff are top of the bunch with 44 points, followed by Dacia with 39 and FC Tiraspol with 28.
