The minimum voter turnout of 25% required to validate the elections was reached in Chisinau municipality as well. At 4:20, the turnout was slightly over 158 600 voters or 25.01% of those eligible to vote, IPN reports.
The women were more active in Chisinau than men. They represented 54.82% of those who marked their ballots, totaling 86 959. Rascani is the most active district of Chisinau. Over 31 600 people voted there by 4:20pm. This is 26.77% of those put on the electoral registers.
The minimum turnout of voters needed to validate the elections in Balti municipality was reached before 4pm.
Under the legislation, the courts of law validate the elections within ten days of the receipt of the reports by which the district electoral councils confirm or do not confirm the legality of elections in each of the electoral constituency by a decision.
