The road that bypasses Vulcănești town and a part of the road belt of Chisinau city will be rehabilitated. The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure on January 14 signed a memorandum of understanding with the company that manages the Belarusian holding company “Belavtodor”, IPN reports.
There will be repaired the section of the M1 highway – border with Romania – Leușeni – Chisinau – Dubăsari, from the 94th km up to the 103rd km. This section forms part of the two-lane road that bypasses the municipality of Chisinau. It is planned to extend the road so that it has four lanes and to build three new intersections at different levels.
There will also be rehabilitated the road that bypasses Vulcănești, starting with the M3 highway. The project envisions the building of a new road to ensure obstacle-free traffic in the Chisinau – Giurgiulești direction. This is the last portion in this direction.
The program is financed with a loan provided by the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The cost of contracts will be determined as a result of technical and financial negotiations.
