Minors charged with Durlesti homicide face trial

Two minors will be tried for hooliganism and the murder of a 30-year-old man in a bar in Durlesti. The crime took place on the night of June 17, 2012. According to the prosecutors, the minors and the man started a fight while choosing the song they would sing at the karaoke machine. One of the minors took out a knife and fatally stabbed the man, and injured his friend, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to a communique from the Prosecutor General’s Office, although the accused did not admit their fault, trying to avoid criminal responsibility, the prosecutors have found enough evidence proving the minors’ guilt. The accused are currently under arrest. Another communique from the Prosecutor General’s Office announces that a 19-year-old youth from Telenesti has been recently sentenced to 25 years in jail, on 5 charges, among which: murder, rape, perverted sexual exploitation, theft and illegal possession of narcotics. The case took place on December 2011. The youth entered the house of a woman and hit her on the head until she died. This did not stop the youth from raping her, after which he sexually exploited her body in a perverted way. Also at the end of 2011, the youth entered the house of two fellow villagers, from where he stole 7,500 lei worth of goods. The sentence is appealable, as provided by the Law.
