Moldexpo hosts agricultural exhibitions with over 200 participants

The exhibitions Moldagrotech and Farmer were opened at the Moldexpo Exhibition Center in Chisinau. Over 200 exhibitors from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Belarus, and Poland displayed their products. Those wishing to visit the two exhibitions and agricultural fair can do it from Thursday to Sunday.

The opening ceremony brought together government officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, professional associations and businesspeople. Moldagrotech, which is at its 44th edition and Farmer, at its 27th edition, offer a space for dialogue and exchange of experience between the key players of the agri-food industry.

In addition to the classical exhibitions, those who want to buy fresh local products at affordable prices can visit the Golden Autumn fair. Among the exhibits are also technological innovations, products from seven countries, including rare seeds and state-of-the-art equipment.

Visitors can use the services of consultants, who can offer personalized solutions and useful explanations within workshops. The exhibition pavilion will be animated by a series of consulting, legal assistance, insurance, lending, transport companies and commercial banks.

At the inaugural event, Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Bolea stressed the importance of adapting to difficult weather conditions and cooperating in the field of new technologies, noting that the strategic partnership with the European Union is a guarantee of the future of agriculture in the Republic of Moldova.

“Through these exhibitions, farmers find out the latest news, everything that is related to the development of techniques, how to cultivate the land and many other things that we need every day when we talk about agriculture,” said Vladimir Bolea.

Valeriu Cosarciuc, chairman of the National Federation of Farmers of Moldova, presented a new model of agricultural cooperative, saying that “inspired by a similar model used in Romania, we will demonstrate that it is possible to have such cooperation with Moldovan farmers”.

Moldexpo acting director general Zinaida Popa welcomed the participants, emphasizing the long history of Moldagrotech exhibition, the importance of the event for Moldexpo and for the agro-industrial sector in general. “Moldagrotech is a historical exhibition that is at its 44th edition. In fact, you are the ones who make history here, in our country, at Moldexpo,” said Zinaida Popa.

The exhibitions Moldagrotech (autumn), Farmer and Golden Autumn can be visited at Moldexpo during four days, until Sunday, October 20.
