The Republic of Moldova and the United Arab Emirates are initiating the negotiation of agreements of cooperation in economic development, avoidance of double taxation and opening of embassies, IPN reports.
The initiatives were discussed by Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu and Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, the sides discussed an investment package for Moldova’s economy, including in the aviation, IT, agricultural and financial services sectors. The Moldovan officials informed about Moldova’s intention to abolish the visa regime for the citizens of the United Arab Emirates. It should be noted that the Moldovans can travel to the United Arab Emirates only based on visas.
