Moldova claim Bowl at European Sevens Championship

The Moldovan men's rugby sevens team finished 9th in the European Championship, held in Moscow, winning the Bowl games against Lithuania (19-15) and the Netherlands (21-12), Info-Prim Neo reports. In the pool stages, Moldova finished 4th, defeating Poland (24-12), and losing to Italy (12-14), Portugal (10-36), Georgia (7-19) and Russia (5-32). Portugal became European champions for the seventh time after defeating France (12-5). The women's trophy was grabbed by Spain. Finland finished in a relegation position, giving way to Moldova in the 2011 Championship.
