Another 232 persons were confirmed with COVID-19 in Moldova on May 27. Twenty of these are healthcare workers. A number of 1,663 tests were done in total today, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, most of those confirmed with the virus today are from the municipality of Chisinau, the Transnistrian region and Bălți.
The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 274 after six more deaths were reported on May 27. The victims are three men and three women aged between 45 and 81 from Chisinau, Soroca, Gagauzia and Strășeni.
As many as 259 patients are in a serious state in the hospital, with 17 of them being put on a ventilator. 91 persons who got cured were discharged from the hospital.
As many as 7,537 infections with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far. Of those infected, 3,975 recovered.
