Moldova manager could be announced until year's end

The name of the coach of the Moldovan national team won't be announced at the Moldovan Football Gala, which takes place on Friday, December 9. The statement has been made by Pavel Cebanu, head of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF), during a press conference. “The national team will have a coach by the end of the year or before the first match in 2012”, stated Cebanu. Incumbent Gabi Balint's contract expires at the end of this month and the Romanian gaffer doesn't know whether he will extend his deal with the FMF. “We learned of foreign coaches wanting to work with the Moldovan national team. We didn't negotiate with anyone as long as we have a contract with Balint”, said Cebanu. On February 29, 2012 Moldova will play Belarus in a friendly encounter most likely in Turkey. FMF also negotiates another friendly with Greece.
