Moldova negotiates €16m grant for building road bypassing Ungheni

By the end of this year, Moldova and the European Commission will sign an agreement to provide a grant for constructing a road bypassing Ungheni town, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the press office of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, the draft agreement was discussed by Deputy Minister Boris Gherasim and representatives of the European Commission and other foreign donors. Under the agreement, Moldova will be offered a grant of €16.2 million to build 7 km of road. The tender contest to select the contractor will be held in the first half of 2012.
