The experience exchange and development of forestry are the main goals of the two-year memorandum of cooperation signed by Moldsilva and Romsilva, the heads of the two institutions said in a news conference on Friday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Moldsilva head Ion Lupu, the cooperation with Romsilva was resumed after a pause of ten years. “The objectives of this memorandum include the exchange of information and human resources with the aim of sharing the experience in forestry management, cooperating and implementing different joint projects, and carrying out projects aimed at managing forests in the meadow of the Prut River,” he said. Under the memorandum, there will be set up a bilateral commission that will devise a joint work program. “The aims of the partnership will be achieved by education and communication and by work through participative processes. There will be designed and implemented joint projects. We will cooperate in the field of protected areas and in maintaining, conserving, restoring and increasing the biological diversity of forests, including their genetic resources, “said the head of the National Forests Agency Romsilva Valerian Solovastru.
