The Republic of Moldova will sign an agreement on cooperation in migration with Belarus. The Cabinet approved the initiation of negotiations on the text of the document, IPN reports.
Currently, the parties cooperate based on an agreement signed in 1994. The bilateral legal framework needs to be updated given the modification of the situation in the field of labor migration. The new document envisions the observance of the rights of migrant workers, combating of legal migration and trafficking in human beings in accordance with the principles applied at international level.
In the negotiations, there will be agreed the methods of putting the agreement into practice and of organizing the joint working group that will deal with aspects of the implementation of the provisions of the document.
