The Moldovan team has won two bronze medals at the World Football Tennis Championship that closed in Hungary’s Harkany on December 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the junior competition, the Moldovan squad that consisted of Alexandru Sirghi, Vladimir Nitu, Catalin Nitu, Marcel Procopii, and Corneliu Rotaru ranked third in doubles and triples. The men’s senior teams finished fourth in singles and triples and fifth in doubles. Moldova was represented by Cristian Rotaru, Mihai Suvac, Alexandr Arefiev, Alexandru Nitu, and Tudor Virlan. The women’s senior team that included Cristina Samson, Alina Miron, Irina Topal, Maria Spinu, and Victoria Ursach ranked fourth in all the three events. In mixed doubles, the Moldovan players lost to Turkey’s pair 0-2 in the small final.
