Moldovan athletes to take part in European Qwan Ki Do Champs

Sportsmen from Moldova will enter Friday the ninth European Qwan Ki Do Championships hosted by the Austrian capital Vienna. Moldova will be represented by sportsmen of the sports club Fong, who will compete in the techniques and wrestling events. According to the president of the National Qwan Ki Do Federation Sergiu Popa, Moldova will participate in the European Champs for the third time. The first participation was in 1996. Qwan Ki Do is a relatively new Vietnamese-Chinese martial art that mostly uses hand-, foot-, jumping and scissor techniques, as well as multiple weapon techniques with sword, staff (one-, two and three-parted) and various knives.
