Sheriff Tiraspol gained 9 positions and is ranked 117th, with 120 points in the November world club rankings, published by IFFHS on Thursday, December 2, Info-Prim Neo reports. Meanwhile, other Moldovan teams have improved considerably. Dacia Chisinau moved up 38 places, to 263th position, and Olimpia Balti was ranked 288th, 40 places higher than last time. Spanish giants Barcelona have replaced Italian champions Internazionale Milano at the top of the list. Bayern Munich are ranked 3rd. Shakhtar Donetsk, where the assistant manager is a Moldovan- Alexandru Spiridon, was named team of the month. The rankings are based on results from official matches, championships and European competitions over the last 12 months.
